The new Site Safety Training requirements were scheduled to roll out in three phases. Refund requests for students that do not comprehend the course language will not be accepted unless 3 business days’ notice is provided.Īll refunds will be approved and processed through CH.įor students who do not attend their registered course, CH may reschedule the client, free of charge, one time only. Registrations submitted less than 3 days prior to the start of any class will not be eligible for a refund however a credit will be issued on file. Registrations must be submitted at least 3 business days prior to the class start date. Client will have to notify CH of the substitute students contact information. Substitutions of attendee may be made at any time prior to the first day of training. If a client is attending a course they no longer need or qualify for, should they make such claim at the start of training, no later than the lunch break, they will be eligible for a full refund. If the credit is not used within this 12 month period, the entire fee will be forfeited. Assuming it is within the required 3 business days’ notice and/or the client has not previously cancelled a registration w/o providing the required notice, they should be eligible for a full refund.Ĭancellation requests received 1 to 3 business days prior to the course date will result in a credit toward attendance at a future scheduled course taking place within 12 months of the original class date. Should the client no longer be interested in attending training, they should be directed to contact CH who will review the request in line w/ TSCTA’s cancellation policy. Should TSCTA cancel or reschedule a class due to weather or unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of TSCTA, the client is entitled to a full refund however TSCTA is not responsible for travel arrangements, travel fees, or any expenses incurred by you as a result of such cancellation. It is the responsibility of CH to contact the student to reschedule and/or process the refund. If a course is cancelled at the request of TSCTA, after the student has registered, TSCTA will notify CH of the change and advise that the client is eligible to be rescheduled to another event or entitled to a full refund. TSCTA reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes at any time. Original cancellation policy (non-COVID-19): We are waiving the penalty for cancellation or postponement requests that are not provided within the appropriate time period (3-days prior to the start of training). Note: This provider has a temporary cancellation policy for COVID-19 related cancellations which is as follows: Should students miss any portion of the training, it is the student’s responsibility to contact TSCTA to arrange to attend another scheduled event. Make-up time is not permitted for this training course. Students are required to complete 100% of the course and actively participate in all learning activities including hands-on exercises. Methods of Instruction: This course consists of several different components which include power point presentations, lecture, real life case studies, class discussion and hands on demonstration. This course emphasizes the role of the scaffold user in accident prevention, which includes scaffold inspections, recognizing hazards, and responding to emergencies. This course explains the basic elements of supported scaffold safety and introduces students to the nature of supported scaffold hazards. This course is designed for a diverse population of professions who use supported scaffolds in NYC, such as construction workers, safety inspectors, safety managers, engineers and architects and many others.Īs per Local Law 52 of 2005, this course is required for workers using supported scaffolds on construction sites in New York City. Students must be able to verbally communicate with instructor in primary language of the training. There are no prerequisites needed to attend this course.
